This sword was the main weapon of Xena, which she used throughout her journeys with Gabrielle. It was also used by Callisto while she inhabited Xena's body Intimate Stranger and Ten Little Warlords.
In her debut episodes in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena initially used two identical swords of the same design. In Xena: Warrior Princess, however, she only used one, and the design was slightly altered by removing the metal spike from the pommel, possibly because the producers may have thought it was too aggressive for Xena as the hero.
