Legendary Journeys

West End Games was a publishing company specializing in board, war, and role-playing games. Founded in 1974, West End Games went on to own the license to several brands, including Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones, Men in Black, and Tales from the Crypt. Their games based in the Star Wars universe were adapted for the novels by Timothy Zahn and formed much of the basis for the Star Wars Expanded Universe of the time.

In the late 1990s, West End gained the license for the Hercules & Xena universe, creating and publishing the Hercules & Xena Roleplaying Game in 1998. This would be their last finished product before bankruptcy in 1999 and being merged into the French comic company Humanoids, Inc.
