Tyron was a soldier from Nespa. He and his comrade, Taris were fighting in a war near Thebes when Taris was killed saving Tyron's life. Tyron did not have the opportunity to avenge his friend and he blamed himself for Taris's death. He carried Taris's armour back to his brothers in Nespa. Taris's brothers also blamed Tyron for their brother's death and started a fight with him at the wedding of Penelope and Marcus. Hercules came to the soldier's aid. Later, when Nemis abducted Penelope, Tyron went with Hercules and Marcus to attempt a rescue. Tyron sacrificed himself to save Marcus by throwing himself in front of a giant boulder that was rolling toward the husband-to-be. Hercules gave him a hero's burial and later gave Tyron's broken sword to Cheris, the woman he had been in love with.
