This Toll Collector worked for Menas Maxius, the governor of Apropus. He was stationed at a bridge leading into the province and when travelers could not or would not pay the toll (20 dinars) he would imprison them. Hercules and Iolaus allowed themselves to be imprisoned in order to find Gladius.
Later, when Felicita tried to sneak over the boarder into Apropus, she was recognized by the Toll Collector who brought her to Postera and Menas Maxius.
