Tobias was a donkey Gabrielle saved. His owner was planning to take him to a tannery where he'd be paid 50 dinars. Instead, Gabrielle bargained to have him for 35 dinars. Tobias assisted Xena and Gabrielle in their plot to make King Silvas see the error of his ways. Later, Gabrielle gave Tobias to Mary and Joseph.
