Timuron worked for King Sisyphus in Corinth. When Sisyphus learned that he was to die and be taken to Tartarus he tricked Timuron into switching places with him so Timuron was taken to the Underworld by accident. Luckily, Hades realized the deception and asked Hercules to help bring Sisyphus to justice. Timuron was taken to the Underworld on his wedding night. He had just been married to Daphne and they had not yet consummated the union. After Hercules brought Sisyphus to the Underworld he and Hades arranged for Timuron to have 24 hours of life in Hercules's body so that he could say goodbye to his wife.
