Background[]

  • "The Women of Trachis" is an actual Sophocles play. The story was about the plight of Deianeira as she feared Heracles's infidelity (that is, the B-plot of Hercules in the Underworld).
  • Unlike most of the "Greek" writing in the Xenaverse, the poster for this play actually uses the Greek alphabet, mostly. Although legible, it's still utter gibberish, apart from the caption of the two fighters, who seem to be labelled "Ajax" and "Achilles", suggesting an image from the Trojan War.
