The Stymphalian Bird was one of the monster children of Echidna and Typhon who was corrupted by Hera. He terrorized travelers heading through the Stymphalian Swamp until defeated by Hercules who threw him into a quicksand pit. Typhon stated that the Stymphalian Bird was a great dancer.
