Legendary Journeys

The Stone of Creation was an ancient artifact that was stored in an unknown cave. Hercules, who was in a conflict with the evil Deity Dahak, learned of it's existence and location through the Titan Mnemosyne. The stone had the means to generate pure light used to restrain pure evil. However, in order for the stone's power to become active, it must be aligned with light from the Sun, otherwise the stone's power cannot be used at all.

History[]

The Stone of Creation was first mentioned by the Titan Mnemosyne, who was visited by Hercules, the half mortal son of her most hated enemy Zeus, who searched for the means of defeating Dahak, who at the time was in possession of the body and spirit of Hercules' best friend, Iolaus. Because of the threat Dahak posed to the Titans as he has been in the past, Mnemosyne reluctantly told Hercules of the stone's existence and how it can render Dahak helpless.

Hercules was joined in his quest to retrieve the stone by Zarathustra, an immortal cursed by Dahak. Together, they found the stone in an unspecified cave, and the stone was resting on a small altar in front of mysterious platforms leading down to an apparent abyss. Once the stone was barely retrieved, Hercules and Zarathustra used the stone against Dahak at his temple. When sunlight had shined through the Temple, Hercules mounted the stone at the Temple altar, capturing Dahak.

Although Dahak was restrained, the stone's power was not absolute over the evil god. Dahak was still able to use a portion of his power to a certain extent against Jason and against Zarathrustra, whom Dahak killed by taking his immortality. Dahak had the potential to break free of the stone's power altogether, when he attempted to kill Ares, The God of War, but thankfully, Hercules and the spirit of Iolaus defeated Dahak and trapped him in his realm before this could happen. Therefore, the stone had served it's purpose. The stone's whereabouts is unknown as it was left in Dahak's Temple.

Trivia[]

  • Although it is unknown how the Stone of Creation was forged, given the fact that Mnemosyne knew of its existence suggests the possibility that the Titans may have used the stone to defeat Dahak before their war against the Gods of Olympus
