Spiro was the owner of a small tavern where Alcmene found Hercules and Iolaus to give them the news that she was marrying Jason. At the time, there was a large brawl in the tavern. Spiro offered Hercules and Iolaus some money for helping to end the fight. They declined telling him to use it to re-build his business.
