Background information[]
- Danielle Cormack's casting might suggest that she is an ancestress of Ephiny and/or Marie DeValle. It might also suggest that the producers were limited by the actors available in Auckland when Amazon High was filmed.
- Saṃsāra is the term given in to the eternal cycle of birth, life, death and rebirth that is central to the Hindu, Buddhist, Bön and Jain worldviews. The name might be symbolic of the fact that the character was unable to let go of her hatred and move on.
- Leopards have not been native to the Eurasian steppe for almost twelve thousand years, suggesting either that Amazon High is set in the Late Pleistocene or that Samsara's top is more anachronistic than the first Cyane.
