Sam Jenkins was born October 18, 1966 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. She married Kevin Sorbo on January 5, 1998 and they have three children: Braeden, Shane and Octavia. Sam and Kevin homeschooled all of their children, and Sam has written a book on the subject and has publiclyencouraged the practice of homeschooling.
She appeared in 6 episodes of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. She first played Kirin in "Prince Hercules". She and Kevin met for the first time while working that episode. Sam later played Serena in "Encounter," "Judgment Day," "When a Man Loves a Woman," and "My Best Girl's Wedding". She made a final appearance, in "Be Deviled", as a malevolent being who assumed Serena's form. She was credited as Sam Sorbo for "My Best Girl's Wedding" and "Be Deviled".
She would also work with Kevin on Andromeda, where she again played his love interest.
