
Renaissance Pictures was an American film production company. It was founded in 1979 by Sam Raimi, Robert Tapert and Bruce Campbell to produce the trio's first film, The Evil Dead. Renaissance Pictures would go on to produce two Evil Dead sequels as well as the Darkman trilogy (which starred Renee O'Connor) before producing Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess.
The company was originally located in a small office in Ferndale, Michigan. In 1987, it moved to the Universal Studios backlot. In 2019, the company changed its name to Raimi Productions.
Pacific Renaissance was the division of the company that worked in New Zealand.
