Proaax had ambitions of being king of Corinth. He hired Buterus, the Exterminator of Thebes, to assassinate Jason. Unfortunately, this happened during Prank Days at Cheiron's Academy which meant all the cadets were suspicious. The plot was foiled by Hercules and Proaax was arrested by the Constable.
