Phoebe was the daughter of Lycinus. After her father died, she attended the ten year reunion of the Argonauts. She was part of the second expedition of the Argo when Castor and the Blood-Eye Cult stole the Golden Fleece. She inherited her father's incredible eye sight and was the first to spot land while at sea. She was made an official member of the Argonauts once they returned safely to Argos with the Golden Fleece.
Sometime later, she and the other Argonauts were guests at the wedding of Jason and Alcmene after they fought off some bad guys. Phoebe was the one who later told Hercules that Echidna couldn't come as she was pregnant. They had to fight off a group of mercenaries hired by Patronius to disrupt the ceremony (HTLJ "The Wedding of Alcmene").
- The name Phoebe appears in Greek mythology as the name of a titaness who had associations with the moon and with prophecy. As with all original titanesses, she was the sister of Kronos.
