Perseus was an ancient Greek hero.

Hephaestus once crafted a shield specifically for Perseus. (HTLJ: "Love Takes a Holiday")

Cupid assumed that Aphrodite was planning to break up the marriage of Ileandra and Sarpedon by using a hero, like Perseus or Theseus in XWP: "For Him the Bell Tolls".

Background MythologyEdit

Perseus (Greek: Περσεύς) was the legendary founder of Mycenae and one of the earliest mythological Greek heroes. He was famous for killing the Gorgon Medusa. He was the son of Zeus and Danae, daughter of the king of Argos. After his exploits, he founded the Perseid dynasty or House of Perseus. Amongst his grandchildren were Anaxo and Amphitryon.
