On Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Norell first played the recurring character Falafel. Falafel appeared in the following HTLJ episodes: "The Other Side," "Once a Hero," "Let the Games Begin," "Promises," "The Wedding of Alcmene," "Doomsday," "Surprise," "The End of the Beginning," "Genies and Grecians and Geeks, Oh My!," "Stranger and Stranger," "Just Passing Through," and "Revelations." Falafel also appeared in XWP "Lyre, Lyre, Hearts on Fire."

Norell also played Croissant in HTLJ "Les Contemptibles," Street Vendor in XWP "Cradle of Hope," Statius in XWP "Prometheus," Peddler in XWP "The Quill is Mightier...," Gillis in XWP "Send in the Clones," Official in YH "Winner Take All" and Buterus in YH "Get Jason."

Norell also appeared in one episode of the Renaissance Pictures series Jack of All Trades. He is perhaps best know for playing the King of the Dead in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings.
