Palaemon kidnapped Gabrielle in order to get to Xena and ensue a fight to the death, although it was halted when Xena had Sumac squirted in her eyes and became temporarily blind. Forced by Xena to help her reach Gabrielle, he realises the errors of his ways and decides to try fighting for the Greater Good. He was also one of the few people to resist Xena's pinch.
Fighting Skill[]
Palaemon showed himself to be a very competent warrior and one of the few that seems capable of holding his own against Xena. The warrior princess even points out that, had he wanted to, he could have killed her when she was blasted in the face with oil. Later on, while she was blind and under his assistance, he repeatedly demonstrated considerable skill in combat.
