The Northern Amazon Tribe High Councilwomen was a group of ten of the most powerful Amazons of the Northern Amazon tribe. They were chosen by Cyane I to join the Council to help her rule the tribe with justice. They had powerful Shamanic abilities.
History[]
They banished Alti from the tribe because of her dark views. Some years later Xena was ready to join in the tribe thanks to Cyane but Alti caused Xena to return to her dark ways. Xena and Alti made a deal; if Xena killed Cyane and the Amazons, Alti would make Xena the Destroyer of Nations. Xena found the Amazons at an Amazon funeral and told them she wanted to join the tribe. She provoked them to fight with her. During the battle, Xena impaled them all on wooden pikes. The last of them to be killed was Cyane. After their brutal deaths, Alti immediate ly drank their blood which trapped them all in the Amazon Land of the Dead.
Many years later Xena returned to Siberia and with the remaining members of the tribe, defeated Alti by impaling her on a branch. This freed the souls of the Amazons from the Land of the Dead. They were now able to cross over into Eternity.
