Mount Etna' is a large active volcano, situated on the isle of Sicily. It is near here that Joxer and Meg created a tavern in honor of Xena's and Gabrielle's memories.
At the foot of Mount Etna, Ares placed a presumably deceased Xena and Gabrielle, as their final resting place. In fact, the cold conditions managed to preserve them for 25 years.
