Minos of Attica was the younger son of King Oeneus, prince of Attica, and a distant cousin of Iolaus. He plotted with General Archeus to usurp his older brother Orestes of Attica and take the throne but he never wanted to hurt his brother. He hoped to keep him alive but imprisoned. At the time, Iolaus was impersonating Orestes and he managed to rescue the real Orestes and stop the plot. In a fight with Archeus, Minos was killed defending Orestes.

This version of Minos bears no resemblance whatsoever to the mythological Minos, who was the legendary king of Crete and judge of the dead.
