Midasius was a kingdom in Greece that was ruled by King Midas. For a time, it was home to a gambling palace called the Golden Touch. Midasius was prone to natural disasters such as floods and droughts which decimated the local population.
In mythology, Midas was the ruler of Phrygia, in Asia Minor, rather than an eponymous kingdom in Greece. He did found an eponymous city, Midaeum, but ruled from Gordium, his father's eponymous city. He was also have said to have founded Ancyra, the forerunner of modern-day Ankara.
