Martyn Sanderson was born on February 24, 1938 in Granity, New Zealand. He was an actor, writer, director, cinematographer and producer, best known for his role as Doomy Dwyer in Children of Fire Mountain. He died on October 14, 2009 in Otaki, Manawatu, New Zealand.
He had also appeared in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, The Legend of William Tell and Trial Run. He had also wrote episodes for Contrabandits and Seekers, and also directed and produced the documentary A Stone in the Bush.
