Marga's tribe, alternatively referred to as "Varia's tribe", was a Greek Amazon tribe that was located in or somewhere near Hyperus, Greece.
History[]
At some point, the tribe fell into the leadership of Queen Amoria who 25 years after Xena and Gabrielle's dormant sleep, Ares attempts to steal their stock of hidden ambrosia to regain his godhood and almost stops a war under the influence of the Furies but is stopped by Xena.
At some point during Varia's late teens, her village was attacked by a Roman army under the orders of Eve during her dark days as "Livia of Rome", resulting in the deaths and presumably enslavement of many Amazons from the tribe, including Varia's younger sister Tura. The tribe eventually reformed and Marga took the mantle of a queen.
Six years following the events, following the recent reawakening of the legendary warrior Xena and Telaquire Amazon queen Gabrielle, Marga and her tribe found themselves under attack by a recently-mortalized former war god Ares with his army under the influence of the Furies, however, he failed in stealing some of the ambrosia that was said to be kept by the Amazons and reclaiming his divinity. It was also during this time that a recently-redeemed Eve accompanied her mother and the latter's soulmate to the Amazon tribe, and was subsequently banished from ever returning under the penance of death upon the discovery of her true identity.
Sometime after, Varia is 's second in command and takes over for her when she is killed. Varia constantly bumps heads with Xena because of her brashness and hotheadedness and her willingness to kill her daughter Eve because of her taking her Amazon sisters as slaves and murdering others during her time as Livia.
Under Varia, the many Amazon tribes attempt to come together to rebuild the Amazon Nation.
However, in the Season 6 episode To Helicon and Back, the Amazons were attacked and nearly decimated by Bellerophon, the demigod son of Artemis who wished to kill the Amazons because "they turned their backs on her during the Twilight of the Gods."

Trivia[]
- The name of the tribe was never officially revealed and it was dubbed by fans as "Marga's tribe".
- Aesthetically, Marga's Tribe occupies a middle ground between the Telaquire Amazons and the Northern Amazons. Like the Telaquires, Marga's tribe favors skimpy leather outfits and bright colors, but like the Northern Amazons they decorate their outfits with animal horns and coins.
