Marcus lived in Nespa where he married Penelope. He was against inviting centaurs to their wedding and his fears were justified. Nemis kidnapped Penelope and Cheris during the reception and Marcus had to go with Hercules and Tyron to try to rescue them. Unfortunately, in the rescue attempt, Marcus was shot in the leg with an arrow. Tyron then saved Marcus' life by throwing himself in the path of a boulder that would have killed the husband-to-be.
