Lydia of Thrace volunteered to look for Hercules and guide him along the road to Thrace when she heard he was coming to her town for "The Games." Unfortunately, the road to Thrace was patrolled by a group of bandits led by Rankor. They captured her. Lydia was rescued by Iolaus and they spent the rest of the day on the run from the bandits. Iolaus saved Lydia from a lake serpent and Lydia helped Iolaus fight off a Hydra this led them to share a kiss. Finally, the duo did meet Hercules who had already made it to Thrace.
