Lycus was a farmer from Ister. When the She-Demon was terrorizing his village he sought Hercules for help. Having just lost his family to Hera, Hercules refused to go to Ister. Iolaus accompanied Lycus and was turned to stone by the She-Demon. Hercules then found Lycus in Ister and killed the She-Demon, restoring Iolaus and others to life.
