Leutis was a prisoner of Menas Maxius and Postera's. He was sentenced to two years but served at least three by the time he met Hercules and Iolaus. While imprisoned, Leutis befriended Gladius. They tended to one another's wounds and when Gladius was too weak to fight in Menas Maxius' arena, Leutis knocked him unconscious and took his place in what was to be a fight to the death against Turkos. When Leutis defeated Turkos but refused to kill him, Postera ordered Bellicus to kill both men.
