Kenji was a character on Xena: Warrior Princess. He was a monk, who was sent to retrieve Xena from Greece and bring her to Akemi in Jappa to defeat Yodoshi. When he and a fellow monk sought shelter in the teahouse, they were attacked by Yodoshi. Kenji managed to escape, when he was confronted by Akemi. Impressed that he had stayed true to his monastic vows (unlike his companion), she asked him to travel to Greece and bring Xena to Jappa in order to defeat Yodoshi. Kenji made the long journey to Greece to tell her to make her way to Jappa and meet with Akemi. He taught Gabrielle how to use a katana whilst on the ship to Jappa. Once they arrived in Jappa, Kenji helped Xena, Gabrielle, Akemi and Harukata to defeat Yodoshi. He was decapitated by Yodoshi during the fight in the Teahouse.
