Kao was a character on Xena: Warrior Princess. He was a chinese warlord, who captured Akemi from the further east country of Jappa, in order to gain a ransom. However, her father Yodoshi offered a great reward for the return of his daughter, which interested both Xena and Borias. Xena put the pinch on Kao and killed him, and subsequently "rescued" Akemi to return her to her father.
