Joshua Matthew Becker, better known as Josh Becker, was born 17th August, 1958 in Detroit, Michigan. He is mainly a Director and Writer, although has many other jobs behind the scenes. He has also appeared in front of the camera as minor roles in Renaissance Pictures early productions of The Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness. His other credits include directing Alien Apocalypse and episodes of Jack of All Trades.

He is known in the Xenaverse for directing 2 of the Hercules: The Legendary Journeys movies and 9 episodes of Xena: Warrior Princess. He has also written an episode of Xena.
