Jason Hoyte is a New Zealand-born actor, best known for his portrayal of Steve Mudgeway in Seven Periods with Mr. Gormsby. However, he is best known in the Xenaverse for being one of two actors to have portrayed Hephaestus (along with Julian Garner).

He has also appeared in Shortland Street, Mataku and many episodes of the multiple shows from the Power Rangers franchise.
