Jana was an orphan who grew up in a brothel. Because of her past, she was ostracized by the community in which she lived. She cared for a young orphan boy called Ixion. She and the other villagers were left homeless when their home was destroyed. They wandered until they found the cursed village of Parthus and they intended to build a new home there until Hercules arrived and led them to the charmed city of Calydon.
