Jake (named "Horace" by Ares) was a character on Xena: Warrior Princess. He had two different coloured eyes: one blue and one grey. He was owned by a traveling salesman, but ran away one night during a thunderstorm and found Xena's old childhood farm. He stole things from them, such as Gabrielle's boots and Ares's gauntlet. Once found by them, he grew affectionate to Ares. Ares didn't like him at first, but did however grow close to him and named him Horace, after he tried to save him from being attacked by Xena. However, Jake later returned to his owner (with Ares' gauntlet, exposing his hiding place to the people after him). After Xena and Gabrielle took care of the problem, Horace came back to Ares farm and lived with him there until Ares became a god again in "You Are There".
