King Iphicles ruled Meliad peacefully for many years with his wife Queen Camilla. His son, Prince Nestor, boasted that his father had abolished slavery and eliminated hunger in the kingdom. One year, during the Festival of Dionysus, Iphicles' eldest son, Pentheus, plotted with Ares to kill his father and take over Meliad. Luckily, the plot was uncovered and Hercules saved the king.
