Imuru was a Sumerian priest. He was sent to Greece by Gilgamesh in order to bring Hercules, ostensibly to help the people. In reality, Imuru and Gilgamesh were servants of Dahak and they wanted Hercules in Sumeria to help bring Dahak into the world.
Imuru was conservative and did not believe that women should hold places of power. He chastised Nebula for her camaraderie with her crew and also for trying to lead men to repair a damaged aqueduct rather than pray to the Gods for help.
Imuru was stabbed and killed by Iolaus, after the latter interrupted a ceremony designed to kill Nebula.
