Hermes' Sandals allow their wearer to fly at at fast speeds. This made Hermes the perfect messenger of the Olympian gods.
Once, the sandals were stolen by a thief called Mavorb. While he was wearing them, Mavorb was able to run around the trunk of a tree twice in the time it took to flip a coin in the air and catch it. Mavorb was punished for this theft by Nemesis who caused a large tree branch to fall on him. Nemesis returned the sandals to the gods ("Herc's Nemesis").
The sandals were later stolen by Autolycus and Iolaus when they needed to quickly find Hercules who had been turned into a pig by Discord ("Porkules").
