Gekkus was the brother of King Tolos. He murdered Tolos and framed Salmoneus and Autolycus for the crime. Salmoneus and Autolycus went into hiding, disguised as members of The Widow Twanky's dance troupe. When they were revealed, they also revealed that Tolos' real murderer was Gekkus. Gekkus was taken into custody for the crime.
When Salmoneus was disguised as Salmonella Gekkus took a liking to her and fantasized about marrying her and having children.
