When Lexus did not use his wealth to help others, Fortune revoked his streak of good luck and left it to chance (decided with a coin toss) what happened next. This set off a chain of events that led to the death of Okaleia. Feeling guilty, Fortune asked Hercules for advice, but he told her to leave things alone. Still guilty, when Fortune learned that Iolaus blamed himself for being unable to save Okaleia's life, Fortune granted him the request of memory loss so that he wouldn't be plagued by the event.
