Danielle Cormack was born on December 26th, 1970, in New Zealand. She is best known in the Xenaverse as Ephiny the Amazon. She also appeared as Samsara in an episode of Xena: Warrior Princess (and the Amazon High pilot it was created from), and as Marie DeValle in an episode of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.
She has appeared in a number of notable movies; She starred alongside Karl Urban in The Price of Milk and more recently appeared in Separation City as Pam. In terms of Television, she has had notable roles on Shortland Street, Legend of the Seeker, The Cult and more recently in Rake, in which she has starred since 2010. She is also one of few actresses to have appeared in both Cleopatra 2525 and Jack of All Trades, the shows that filled the time slots of Hercules: The Legendary Journeys when it finished.
Her most notable work in recent years was her portrayal of Bea Smith in the Foxtel prison drama Wentworth, in which she starred for four years before leaving the show in 2016.
Cormack has one child with fellow actor Pana Hema Taylor (a Spartacus cast member), Te Ahi Ka, born 19 March 2010. Cormack has another son, Ethan (born in 1996), from a previous relationship.[1] In an interview with LOTL Magazine, Cormack mentioned that she has had long-term relationships with people of both genders, and indicated that she prefers to avoid applying labels to patterns of sexuality.[2] Cormack's current partner is Adam Anthony, a Canadian director/producer.[3]
