Cyrus was an accomplished martial artist from the far East, possibly from Chin. He fell in love with Oi-Lan who had been banished from her father's province. Together, they intended to build a new home. They encountered Belus who told them he could lead them to a safe place. In actuality, he sold them into slavery. Cyrus was to become a slave at the Libyan Animal Games. He managed to escape while en route to Libya, only to be captured again. Hercules was finally able to rescue Cyrus and the other slaves.
Later, Alcmene offered her home as the site of Oi-Lan and Cyrus' wedding and as a gift, Hercules gave them the land he once lived on with Deianeira.
