Clarin was a Satyr who had a twin brother named Cletis. Together, they swindled Pyturis by betting he couldn't drink as much as one of them could. While Pyturis wasn't looking, the brothers switched places and thus were only half as intoxicated as their opponent. They tried the same trick on Hercules but he caught them.
