Claire Stansfield was born on August 27th, 1964, in London, England. She is an actress, director and former model, notable in the Xenaverse for her role as Alti on Xena: Warrior Princess. She perhaps best known for the aforementioned role, but also for her relationship during the 80's with Duran Duran frontman, Simon Le Bon.

She has also had roles on shows such as; Twin Peaks, Frasier, The X-Files and Two of a Kind. In 2002, she and Cheyann Benedict founded their own clothing line, C&C California, which specializes in 70's style t-shirts.

• Stansfield originally auditioned for the part of Morrigan on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, but lost out to Tamara Gorski. However, Rob Tapert saw her potential and ability and gave her the role of Alti on Xena: Warrior Princess.
