Legendary Journeys

Cassius the Centaur was a student of Ceridian's. He was angered by the discrimination against Centaurs that was rampant in Greece. In the village where he lived, Centaurs were not even allowed to drink from the town fountain. Cassius was also discriminated against because he was in love with a human woman, Myrra. He planned to go to war with the humans if they would not give Centaurs equal treatment but Ceridian asked Hercules to intervene. Hercules managed to convince both the villagers and the Centaurs to lay down their arms and march together in peaceful protest. He led them to the fountain where Cassius and other Centaurs drank freely. Cassius acknowledged that there was a long way to go before they would have equality but that violence would not help the situation.
