Carly Binding was born on February 2nd, 1978 in Tauranga, New Zealand. As a member of the girl group TrueBliss, she won the New Zealand version of the talent show Popstars (created by Simon Cowell, who also created Celebrity Duets featuring Lucy Lawless as a contestant).

She appeared as the Whoosh! webmaster, Barb Binder, in the Xena: Warrior Princess episode "Soul Possession."
