C'thulon is one of the Old Ones, godly beings that predate the Titans. He appears in the Dark Xena comic.
History []
Many years prior to the events of Dark Xena, C'thulon and the other Old Ones ruled the world. However, their time came to an end after the rise of the Titans. Most of the Old Ones were killed or banished and eventually forgotten by the world.
Years later, after Xena's death in Jappa, a devastated Gabrielle embarks on a journey to find C'thulon to ask him to bring Xena back. C'thulon grants Gabrielle's wish, but makes Xena evil, intending to use her as a tool for his vengeance against the world that's forgotten him.
C'thulon's plan is thwarted by Gabrielle however, who fights to make Xena turn towards goodness, eventually sacrificing her own life to do so. C'thulon is impressed with Gabrielle after she tells him his revenge is pointless, as the Titans are long gone from the world, to which he concedes. He decides to grant Gabrielle's wish, this time the way she wanted.
Powers and Abilities[]
Ctulon is a primordial being older than the Titans, his powers and abilities are equal to the gods, but on a higher level, he has enough power to alter the timeline, bring Xena back to life, changing the past, and ensure that gods like Zeus, Hades, Athena, and others do not die in twilight.
