Atlantis was an island that had advanced technologies.
History[]
The Atlanteans developed technologies powered by crystals. During the rule of King Pantheus, they over-mined these crystals using captive slaves. Cassandra was considered an outsider by the other Atlanteans and even tried to warn them about Atlantis' upcoming destruction.
The effects of the overmining causing their island to collapse in on itself and sink into the sea. While Hercules, Cassandra, and those who were sailing with Hercules at the time got off the island, most of its inhabitants perished during the island's sinking.
