Alex Kurtzman was a character on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. He was a writer with Renaissance Pictures. He primarily wrote for the series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys with Roberto Orci. This was his first job out of film school, and the pair lived in the janitorial closet of Renaissance.
Both Kurtzman and Orci were hired by Liz Friedman, who used to baby-sit for them when she was in high school.
After six months of work, he and Orci came up with the idea of "Chimpules: The Legendary Monkey" but the concept was rejected by both Rob Tapert and B.S. Hollinsfoffer (HTLJ: "Yes, Virginia, There is a Hercules") who then got in a fight with them.
