Ajax was a hero and soldier in the Trojan War. When he and his fellow soldiers returned to Corinth from Troy they found themselves displaced. Disturbances they caused were met with zero tolerance from King Iphicles who sentenced the men to imprisonment in the prison at Golgoth. Having been threatened with imprisonment for committing no crime, Ajax and his men took Iphicles hostage and only released him after Hercules was able to show them they were equally in the wrong. Ajax finally sacrificed his life to save Iphicles from a Sand Shark.
